The Cyprio Affair...

Cyprio, for many years one of the largest Garden Pond
Equipment Manufacturers, ended their North American
operations last year. This presents a large problem for

Fun (Pond) Fact
(TM)
A Waterfall can "Super Chill a
Pond" if allowed to run all winter.
In below freezing
temperatures some of the water running down the
waterfall will freeze and the liquid water running over
it and entering the Pond is chilled beyond the outside
temperature, basically creating a "Slushy".
This is
usually okay, but can be a problem in Koi ponds or
during extremely cold winters. In those instances it
is better to use a heater and/or air
pump.
