Don't
waste your Money on your Pond -- Prevention -- Fun (Pond)
Fact

How do you waste your
money on your Pond?
By using
additives (Algaecides, Bacteria, Barley) without checking
and adjusting
the pH!
Bringing the pH within range is
one of the secrets of Pond keeping!
The proper pH
range is 6.8 - 7.8.
Sometimes Pond owners just give
up, because they cannot get the pH down or it keeps
jumping right back up.
Here are a couple more
tips:
==> Sometimes the
pH is so high that it takes several treatments to just
get it on the scale of the test kit and then several
more to start moving it in the right
direction.
==> In extreme cases a
direct
7.5 product can be used. It will bring
it down and help to keep it
there.
==> Pond
Salt helps stabilize the pH (but do not
add it until you have the pH in range, or it will never
happen). 1 lb per 200 gallons is very beneficial to your
Pond Fish and will not hurt your Pond
Plants. |

Preventing annoying
Pond problems
is much easier than
fixing issues later.
Here are some easy ways to
prevent common Pond problems:
1)
Prevent all that stringy, globby and/or fuzzy
growth on Waterfalls, Rocks and Liner by using
Barley.
Our favorite way is to use a concentrated Barley
Extract because there is no waiting for
the Barley to decompose and no messy bales to fish back
out of the Pond
2) Help to get rid
of the sludge in the bottom of your
Pond (which is nothing but a compost pile feeding algae)
by adding Beneficial
Bacteria(PondCare Pond
Zyme with Barley is great for this,
because it "kills two flies with one
swat")
3) Help prevent
clogging of the Pond Pump by sticking
it into a Pump
Bag
