What needs to be done right now?...........Fun (Pond) Fact

If you have not done these three things yet...then spring will be much more difficult for you AND your Pond Fish:

Cover the Pond
Reduce the "Gunk"
Switch to the right food

Why?
Because:

Fall winds will blow tons of stuff into your Pond - from minute particles to large leafs
Your Pond will have a thick layer of "sludge" in the bottom which is a compost pile to feed next years algae
Your Pond Fish will be short on nutrition going into the winter starvation and more susceptible to disease and parasites (they do not have a stomach and cannot digest higher protein summer food in cooler water).

Taking care of these simple things now will make spring infinitely easier! Who likes to drain and scrub a Pond? Not us!!
