Fun (Pond) Fact
(TM)
If you have not done so already...if is time to pull floating plants out of the Pond. Water Hyacinths and Water Lettuce will not survive BUT they make great mulch just loaded with nutrients for your garden plants. We just rip ours into a bit smaller pieces and use them as part of the mulch for roses and other plantings. Not only do they help protect the roots from the cold, but come spring they decompose and all those released nutrients make for wonderful blooms in the summer.
