SMART UV Lite Housing
The Sterilizer housing is constructed of durable heavy-wall Ultraviolet resistant plastic with a lifetime warranty against Ultraviolet degradation or manufacturer defects. These ultraviolet sterilizers are designed with a 2” housing diameter.
SMART UV Ballast
Our electronic power supply is SMART enough to provide the exact amount of power needed to run the UV lamp efficiently. The ballast is positioned remotely on a 26 foot power cord. It is also highly resistant to failure from water damage—outlasting the competition.
Quartz Sleeve and Power Assembly Design
The water-tight Quartz Sleeve and Power Assembly connections were designed with safety and ease-of-use in mind. The UV lamp and power assembly can be removed without interrupting the flow of water through the UV Lite’s body. This allows for a swift and painless UV lamp replacement. The Quartz Sleeve Assembly can also be removed easily for a quick quartz sleeve wipe down.
UV Lamp of the Highest Quality
SMART UV Lites feature a hard quartz glass low-pressure ultraviolet lamp. These mercury lamps offer 13 months of continual operation, or 9,000 hours, until they reach their end of useful lamp life (80% efficient). Ultraviolet Safe Viewing Port
Emperor Aquatics’ UV Lite Sterilizers feature a large internal viewing port. This allows for safe inspection of the UV lamp while in operation. Additionally the clear quartz sleeve retaining module at the other end of the Ultraviolet Sterilizer will also glow when the lamp is on.
UV Sterilizers for Indoor or Outdoor use
All SMART UV Lites are UL and cUL listed for safe electrical use in potentially wet environments, for example, near a back yard koi pond or water garden.
SMART UV Quartz Sleeve Wiper
Emperor Aquatics also offers the SMART UV Lite Ultraviolet Sterilizer with a quartz sleeve wiper. The wiper is intended to allow the removal of soft organic sediment from the quartz sleeve without removing it from the UV Sterilizer’s housing. The Wiper UV models are indicated with part numbers ending in a “-W” and are only available with the 1.5” union port style.
