5 Stars My koi love these
by a member from virginia on Dec 14, 2008
My koi had been stalked by a local great blue heron that was over 5 feet tall (no lie, I photographed this awful thing and then measured against a tree).... it terrorized the fish. I put plastic lattice across the pond when I wasnt home to protect them and this helped, but it was not exactly attractive. I used the wire grid, that was also ugly... I finally ordered 3 of these for my babies to hide out of sight and they love them. They can look out (they kind of sit with just the eyes looking out when they are a little unsure) and yet are completely invisible to that prehistoric nasty bird! I have just moved to a new house and we are going to be digging a new huge pond for my koi soon... and they will definately be needing these again since we have moved to 15 acres in the woods... I have a feeling a great blue heron isnt going to be their biggest enemy... yikes... But we are making it deep enough that they will have plenty of places to hide near the waterfall area! Buy these for your koi.... they love them!!!!
