Like getting Soap in your Eyes..Do you know about Baby Fish?..Fun (Pond) Fact

If tap water is added to the Pond without dechlorinator, it's like getting lye soap into your eyes when you bathe! It may only sting this time, but over time it will do damage! There is NO amount of tap water, no matter how small, that can be added safely without de-chlorinatingit!
Pond Fish are much more delicate creatures than we are and the Chlorine and Chloramines in tap water affect their gills, reducing their ability to breathe over time. Each time you add tap water without de-chlorinating it, a little more damage is done! Not only will it make life miserable for the fish over time, it can be the cause of death in low oxygen situations (hot weather, a frozen pond, a broken pump) that they may have survived otherwise.
De-chlorinatoris a low cost investment into the health and survival of your Pond Fish. Even small amounts of chlorinated water will do harm over time.
If you think that you may already have done damage, then Koi TLC is the way to go (works for Goldfish, too)

Every Pond needs the Stinky Stuff !

Have you ever been surprised in very early Spring by finding 1 or 2 inch Baby Fish in your Pond that you did not even know where there?
Goldfish often spawn in late Summer or even Fall and if conditions are right and it does not get too cold too soon, these tiny creatures will survive and grow during the winter.
Crucial elements are cover (Parrots Feather is wonderful for that), Food (cool weather Fish Food can be fed until it gets really cold) and oxygen.
See what you can find in your Pond next Spring.....

Note for local customers: Our Retail Facility just got a shipment of absolutely stunning tropical Water Lilies! Limited Quantities!

Fun (Pond) Fact (TM)

Why do you see Dragonflies hovering over and diving at your Pond?
They feed on tiny insects in and on the water (they also lay their eggs in the water).
