| Eeeekk-Yuck.....Are Fall Leaves pretty?.....Fun (Pond) Fact |
|
 |
Eeeeekk....Yuck !!!
Got
that stringy stuff
growing in your
Pond in the Winter?
Most water treatments are not as effective
in the Fall and
Winter due to the
cooler or downright
cold water temperatures.
Some notable exceptions
(and a super tip
from our resident
pond expert Aaron),
that will clear
up that mess are:
Barley& Microbe-Lift Fall/Winter Prep. The
Barley will prevent
the stringy stuff
from growing all
winter, but it has
to be added NOW. |
| Watch for our NEW winterization VIDEO ....to be posted
some time today! |

Is Fall
Foliage
pretty? Oh
yes !! But not...in
the bottom of your
garden pond. There
it will decompose
and rot, make the
water murky and
smelly and deprive
your fish of much
needed oxygen (the
decomposition process
takes oxygen out
of the water). Better
to prevent that
mess! Cover
the pond with
a pond net and add beneficial bacteria NOW to help
eliminate spring
draining and scrubbing
(YES! it can be
prevented!). |
| Snow and
Ice are pretty, but.... dangerous for your pond fish! Lack of oxygen
is the number 1 killer
of pond fish in the
winter (followed closely
by predator damage).
Let your fish breathe
freely all winter
with a de-icer
and or air pump!
A one time investment
will keep your pets
safe for years to
come! |

Fun (Pond) Fact (TM)
While
Koi spawn only once
a year, Goldfish
spawn all spring,
summer and fall.
Goldfish need to
be only about 2
inches long to start
spawning (have babies). |
