The Pump Dilemma....Spring finally arrives, you are looking forward to hearing the water spilling over your waterfall or the gentle splashing of your fountain and....nothing happens when you plug in the pump!
Here are some tips:
Magnetic Drive Pond Pumps often just need to have the impeller cleaned
Check the impeller & cover on Magnetic Drive Pumps, if damaged the
Pump CAN BE REPAIRED by replacing them
Make sure the water intake is not blocked by debris
**The Pond Pump needs to be unplugged while working with it, of course!
If none of the above helps to restart the Pump we can help! We have some great deals on Waterfall Pumps right now (this is even a good time to pick up a spare pump with a special discount - so your Pond Fish do not run out of oxygen should the main pump fail)!

It is Time to Replace the UV Bulb in your Pond Filter and UVC and we have UV Replacement Bulbs for almost any filter on the planet at super, duper Prices!! (Try to find a better one anywhere)!

Check your Pond Fish for Parasites and Disease in the spring, because winter is stressful for them and it is best to catch problems early. The fish tend to move slower while the water is cool which makes it easier to observe them closely. Throw a bit of food close to the edge of the pond (once the water temperature reaches 45 degrees) and look closely for:
~~ Lesions, Wounds, torn Fins & other signs of body damage
~~ Parasites like small leaches, white spots or fungus
** The PondMarket carries a wide selection of fish medications, remedies and pharmaceuticals. |

Fun (Pond) Fact (TM)
Goldfish can reach over 20 inches in length and up to about 9 pounds if conditions are right...although that is very rare.
The average Goldfish in a Garden Pond lives 6 - 8 years and does not even reach half that size.
The largest recorded Goldfish reach a whopping 47 inches
(in the Netherlands, 2003).
