Air under liner

Question:

We have a 5,000 gallon pond installed in September 2007. We live in Southeast Texas with a lot of rainfall. After recent rains, the pond developed air under the liner. We removed some of the rocks along the edge in several places. Then got in the pond to try to move the air pockets to these areas to try to release the air. No luck. Is this a problem you’ve heard before? Any suggestions on how to correct the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

You will probably have to wait until ground dries out completely, then weigh down with heavy stone or boulders. It may be water build up, not air.
