Air pumps on all year?

Question:

I added 2 air stones and an air pump to the pond this year. Should I leave it running all winter? I do leave the waterfall running and the pond doesn’t freeze except for some small places along the edge. Thanks!

Answer:

A fish pond can never have too much oxygen. Since you have the air pumps available you should make full use of them and leave them running.
