Tetra back-flushable Filter

Question:

I am looking at the Tetra back-flushable Filter. Can it be placed (on the outside of the pond) below water level? We have two ponds, one is in ground and the water goes to the filter and then enters the above ground pond where the water moves to a water fall and returns to the in ground pond. The pump is in the water of the in ground pond and there is plenty of pressure to move the water. With our old system the filter had to be HIGHER than the above ground pond. Bonita
